Family Stories

Theresa and Peter

This is us and our current family: Peter, Theresa, Rambo, and Barrel. We are looking to add an additional family member — one preferably that is human. The famous pop singer, Rhianna once sang: “We found love in a hopeless place!” We met more than 10 years ago at a bar that had the best cheese balls. Sadly, no more cheese balls. Possibility more than two, but definitely two, cosmic forces drew us together: We both have a tattoo of “This too shall pass” and we each have a parent with a disability. As time passed, Peter turned Theresa into an iPhone user. In turn, Theresa made it so Peter would learn to tolerate country music. As our relationship became more serious, we embraced each others family’s and knew that starting our own would be important to us. One thing led to another and we knew that the logical next step would be marriage. We got married during the pandemic in our backyard with our closest friends and family.

Nearly six years ago, moved to a suburb of Chicago and live a relatively simple life. We enjoy going to the gym, walking our dogs, spending time with friends, watching television, and as of late, reading! We have been avid meal preppers for eight years. Theresa has made it a point to learn how to cook soups from all around the world. A major goal of ours is to travel to all 50 states and it would mean the world to us to have a little adventurer with us. If someone were to describe us, I believe they would say we are both dependable and like to make others know and feel they are loved and appreciated.
