Rachel and Jason

Rachel Hirsh and Jason Lademan are a Chicago-based couple pursuing family building through IVF and surrogacy. After a medically complex first birth, Rachel and her husband are working toward growing their mishpacha in a way that is safe, thoughtful, and sustainable for their family. They are the proud parents of their daughter, Auri, whose name mens “my light” and could not be more fitting; she truly is the light of their lives.
Deeply connected to Jewish communal life, the Laden family is committed to reducing stigma around infertility by showing up with honesty, resilience, and care for others on a similar path. They believe that sharing their story can help others feel less alone and more supported, and they hope to contribute to a community culture where people can speak openly about family building without shame. As they continue this journey, they are filled with hope and excitement about growing their family, and they cannot wait for Auri to become a big sister.
Rachel and Jason are recipients of the Path to Parenthood Grant from the Jewish United Fund – Chicago.
