Myrnie

Myrnie

Myrnie Brown is a licensed social worker, two‐time BRCA‐related cancer survivor, and lifelong advocate who has dedicated her life to serving others with compassion, resilience, and purpose. Diagnosed with cancer at just 29, Myrnie became the first in her immediate family to confront BRCA that would shape her life in profound ways. Despite years of surgeries, isolation, and uncertainty, she continued to show up for others with unconditional love- the same love that has defined her personally and professionally. From the moment she heard the word “cancer diagnosis,” Myrnie’s first thought was not fear, but hope: she still wanted to be a mom. Myrnie is a recipient of a grant through the Magnolia Tree Foundation in partnership with the Chicago Coalition for Family Building.
