Lindsey and Ashley: A Pandemic Love Story
Lindsey and Ashley met back in 2012 at work, but their love story truly took flight during the pandemic. With countless Covid-era hangouts that turned into a deep connection, they eventually become a couple in 2020. They took the next step in 2021 with their engagement, and by 2022, they were thrilled to marry and begin building their life together.
Their family grew by four paws when they welcomed their Bernedoodle, Luna, in 2021. Luna has quickly become an integral part of their lives, and she’s eagerly awaiting the day she can become a big sister.Despite over a year of fertility treatments and the heartbreak of three failed IUIs and two rounds of IVF, they remain hopeful and determined. Their dream of becoming parents is stronger than ever, and they continue to move forward with optimism and resilience.
Lindsey and Ashley are deeply grateful to the Jewish United Fund and Chicago Coalition for Family Building for their incredible support. They are passionate about sharing their journey – especially with other queer couples who may be navigating this specific set of challenges – and are so appreciative of this community and the continued opportunity to help debunk stigma around infertility. This grant brings them one step closer to realizing their dream of growing their family, and they couldn’t be more appreciative. Thank you for being part of their journey.
Lindsey and Ashley are recipients of the Path to Parenthood Grant from the Jewish United Fund – Chicago.
