Laura and Ed

When I (Laura) was 35, I froze my eggs in Chicago thinking I would have an insurance policy for the future. I had to do three rounds of IVF to get a good amount to freeze. Fast forward to 2019 when I met Ed, we were engaged in 2021, and we decided not to waste time and start our journey to becoming parents. After trying naturally for months we decided to move my frozen eggs to a clinic in Colorado. Unfortunately after learning only one of the bunch made it to embryo, we decided to keep trying for more eggs through IVF.

We are so grateful the generosity of the Chicago Coalition of Family Building will allow us to continue our journey of becoming parents and building our family.

Laura and Ed are recipients of the Path to Parenthood Grant from the Jewish United Fund – Chicago.
