Kristin and Jacob

Compassionate and community-focused, Kristin and Jacob are dedicated to raising a child in a home where deep-rooted Jewish tradition and global curiosity go hand in hand. As observant Jews, their parenting will be grounded in faith and the values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), kindness, and charity. They believe that to make the world a better place, a child must first learn to understand and appreciate it.

For them, travel is more than just a vacation—it is an education in empathy. Whether hiking glaciers in Alaska or exploring local life in Europe or Africa, they plan to use these adventures to teach their child about diverse cultures and perspectives. They want to raise a global citizen who sees the beauty in our differences and feels empowered to build a kinder, more inclusive world.

Back at their home in the northern Chicago suburbs, they offer a balance of creativity and stability. Since meeting at a Shabbat dinner, faith has been the cornerstone of their family; they keep kosher, observe holidays, and cherish hosting friends and family for weekly Shabbat meals and game nights. Between Kristin’s singing and enthusiastic crafting, and Jacob’s fun-loving energy building legos and playing sports, they promise a nurturing environment where a child is encouraged to be their own unique person, surrounded by a loving extended family, community, and their loyal dog, Sterling
