Brittany and Matt

While they had often discussed the possibility of adoption, Brittany and Matt’s journey really started this past March when they decided they were ready to start their family. Due to a flareup with Brittany‘s ulcerative colitis, the doctor told Brittany that it was not a safe time for her to become pregnant. Having given prior thought to the possibility of pursuing adoption, Brittany and Matt decided this was another sign pointing them towards adoption.

Brittany is a middle school special education teacher and Matt works for an Israel education non-profit, so they both have a passion and love for youth. They can’t wait to bring home their own child and start their family. They both want to thank the Chicago Coalition for Family Building and Jewish United Fund for helping make their adoption journey become a reality!

Brittany and Matt are recipients of a financial assistance grant through the Jewish United Fund Infertility Support Program.

When we found out that the next step was IVF, we thought our dreams were shattered
