Brittany and Matt
While they had often discussed the possibility of adoption, Brittany and Matt’s journey really started this past March when they decided they were ready to start their family. Due to a flareup with Brittany‘s ulcerative colitis, the doctor told Brittany that it was not a safe time for her to become pregnant. Having given prior thought to the possibility of pursuing adoption, Brittany and Matt decided this was another sign.

Having given prior thought to the possibility of pursuing adoption, Brittany and Matt decided this was another sign.Brittany is a middle school special education teacher and Matt works for an Israel education non-profit, so they both have a passion and love for youth. They can’t wait to bring home their own child and start their family. They both want to thank the Chicago Coalition for Family Building and Jewish United Fund for helping make their adoption journey become a reality!
Brittany and Matt are recipients of the Path to Parenthood Grant from the Jewish United Fund - Chicago and welcomed a healthy baby into their family in 2022!
