Jessica and Timothy
We are Jess and Tim. We have been together for almost six years and married for two. Tim is a school counselor and Jess is a school psychologist, both in the same PK-12 school district. We share our love and home with Arlo, our great Pyrenees pup, and Lottie, our golden Pyrenees pup. Becoming parents has long been something we’ve imagined and planned for with excitement and loving anticipation. After two bouts of cancer, radiation treatments, an endometriosis diagnosis, low AMH, high FSH, two surgical procedures related to fertility struggles, and a failed IUI attempt we were left feeling defeated and drained (financially, emotionally, and physically). As many struggling with infertility know, there is a unique and raw pain that comes from preparing a place in your heart for a child that may never come.

As many struggling with infertility know, there is a unique and raw pain that comes from preparing a place in your heart for a child that may never come.We applied for a Family Building Grant for an IVF cycle in April of 2018; and when we received the word that we did not receive a life grant, we knew we would apply again, but our hearts lead us towards adoption this time around. We officially became a waiting family with our agency, Adoptions of Wisconsin, in March of 2019. Our path to parenthood has been winding and unpredictable; filled with ups and downs but has ultimately led us to this very place and we could not feel more confident that this is the path for us.
We love the lives we’ve built together and cannot wait for the day that we get to share our love with a child. Our hope for our children is that they will grow up to be kind, caring, and respectful of others. We want them to embrace diversity, to be proud of who they are, to celebrate their adoption story, and to know and love the people and places they come from. We promise to honor our future child's adoption story and we plan to pursue an open adoption with our child’s birth parent(s). We are so grateful to the Coalition for Family Building for helping make our dream of becoming parents a reality. In a time of uncertainty as to how we would proceed, the Coalition for Family Building gave us hope and we cannot express our gratitude enough.
