Tiffany and Steve
My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over two years. Eventually we realized we that we may need additional help in order to conceive. I began seeing my REI, Dr. Jennifer Hirshfeld-Cytron, in September of 2018. After running several tests I was diagnosed with PCOS. We immediately began treatment. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn’t cover fertility treatment so we have to pay for treatment out of pocket. We endured three rounds of IUI; sadly, all three rounds were unsuccessful. This process has been an emotional rollercoaster and a financial strain. In the beginning we were very thrilled and excited despite the odds. Every negative test has been a tough pill of reality to swallow, but with the support of my husband, family, and faith we are still expectant of nothing less than receiving our miracle baby. Now that we have gone through the IUI process several times we want to take the necessary steps to increase our chances of conceiving by going through with IVF. We are beyond grateful to be Life Grants recipients. It is truly a blessing!
