Malachi and Abby began their journey together with deep commitment and resilience. Married on September 8, 2022, they faced immediate challenges when Malachi departed for Guam the next day in service to his country. In November, Abby made a life-changing decision to move to Guam with only what she could fit in a suitcase, leaving behind her job, routine, and support system. Soon after, Malachi was diagnosed with Klinefelter syndrome, making it difficult to conceive naturally. They are grateful to be recipients of the Family Building Financial Grant through the Chicago Coalition for Family Building.
