Michael and Alyssa live in Chicago, Illinois, where they have built a meaningful life together. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and staying active by playing tennis and pickleball.

Michael and Alyssa have long dreamed of becoming parents and growing their family. While they expected that the journey to parenthood might include challenges, they did not anticipate learning that they are both carriers of the same genetic condition—one that could lead to serious outcomes for a child. After consulting with their medical team, they were advised to pursue IVF with PGT-M testing in order to reduce this risk and build their family safely.

Recognizing the financial challenges associated with such testing, Michael and Alyssa are deeply grateful to the Chicago Coalition for Family Building and the JUF Path to Parenthood Program for their support and for helping make their dream of parenthood possible.
