Shimra and Jonathan
We got married five years ago. We had and continue to dream of building a family together. When we began trying, we never expected that our journey for a child would span over multiple years. After a year into our journey, our frustration started to grow. Friends and family were having children and something just wasn't working for us. We started to discuss our options and realized that we needed to approach our journey from a different perspective. After meeting and working with a medical team we underwent multiple unsuccessful treatments.

After meeting and working with a medical team we underwent multiple unsuccessful treatments.We are both naturally pretty positive people. We continue to enter each month and treatment with renewed hope. We are so blessed to have the support of not only a medical team, but our community as well. We will use this grant to continue our fertility journey knowing that we have the support of so many, including those who have had success before us.
Shimra and Jonathan are recipients of the Path to Parenthood Grant from the Jewish United Fund - Chicago. In February 2023, they welcomed their daughter, Nessa, to the world!
