Danielle and Steve

When we began discussing marriage and then children, it was very difficult to say to Steve that I was unable to get pregnant without medical intervention. At five years old I was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome, and at the age of twelve told that I would not conceive children without fertility treatments. At the time I was not mentally in the place to fully process that information, but as an adult it was devastating. I was assured by Steve that he loved me no matter what, and he had faith we would have a family one day.

Since that day, we have explored fertility treatments as well as adoption options. The cost of both began to test our faith and resolve. While we love our fur babies (two dogs and one cat) we longed to have a child. When we heard about this grant it was as if our hope was restored and the dream of having a child would come true. We nervously applied and shared our story, and we are more than happy we did! We are beyond grateful for this generous gift and looking forward to the future. This has truly been a blessing to us.
